Nphonix (Feodor Stepanenko, Moscow, Russia) is one of Russia’s hottest dnb exports, having his tunes signed to some of the best d&b labels around, constantly touring and being supported by many of the scene’s biggest names. While Feodor started to make beats in 2000, it was only in 2005 that he decided to send out some tracks, which later resulted in him being signed to such labels as DSCI4, Subtitles, Lost Soul, Sinuous, Algorythm, Cyanide, Citrus, Fokuz, Full Force, Sudden Def, and more. Drum&bass is not the only choice for Nphonix – Feodor produces dubstep, techno and other styles as well. As a dj Nphonix chooses a diverse set of genres, including dancefloor-oriented neurofunk/techstep, deeper styles of drum&bass, a mixture of dubstep&techno and abstract/wonky hiphop to name a few.
