Ketan Dave (aka Ketz) has been involved in DJing and producing Drum n Bass for over a decade. Initiated into the scene in ’99 during his first year of University it was not long before the combination of fast paced broken beats, gritty basslines and syncopated rhythms soon took his interest and turned it into an obsession. Currently living in Essex (UK), raised in Kenya and originally of Indian descent Ketz has managed to draw from a wide range of musical influences to sculpt his own brand of fierce D&B. Producing everything from full-on techy dancefloor smashers to the deeper ethnic fusion side of the spectrum, this new up and comer has been turning a few heads as of late. Releasing his first single with UK imprint Dangerous New Age Recordings in Feb ’09 he has since had several releases with labels around the globe such as Melting Pot (Spain), Trust in Music (Germany) and Mindtech (Belgium). With a growing list of DJ supporters, collaborations and releases underway the future is looking bright as Ketz keeps pushing his own boundaries as a producer.
